This beginning of the year we have one more reason to be happy. Albanians will need less time to make their first million. Now it will take an average of 1 century and 82 years to make that much money together. In the year we left behind, it would take us 2 centuries and 14 years to make 1 million dollars together.
But even though we reduced the years, Albania still remains among the countries where individuals will need more time to be millionaires.
Based on data on the average salary in Albania from INSTAT and data for other countries from UNECE, Monitor calculated how long it would take on average to make 1 million dollars.
A million dollars is made faster in Luxembourg, Switzerland and Iceland, where it takes an average of 16 years. In contrast to a year ago, the average time in Switzerland to make a million dollars was 11.3 years.
Next are the United States of America with about 17 years, the Netherlands and Denmark with 19 years respectively.
In Austria and Belgium it takes about 20 years to make $1 million.
In the German state, with the average salary, 1 million dollars can be made in 21 years, while in France and England it will take about 23 years. Whereas in Italy, it will take an average of 27 years and Greece 38 years.
It takes more time to make the first million in the countries of origin. In the Baltic countries, it takes about 41 years.
Among the member countries of the European Union, Romania and Bulgaria require more time to make a million dollars. In Romania it takes approximately 75 years, while in Bulgaria 1 century and 26 years.
Albania ranks penultimate in the list of countries taken into consideration.
In the last place is Armenia, where compared to a year ago an individual will need 2 centuries and 39 years from 2 centuries and 15 years.
