Keep mosquitoes away with these scents
During the summer we all want to spend more time in the fresh air, walk in the park and enjoy the greenery and flowers. But mosquitoes can ruin even the most wonderful vacation.
Experts suggest some recipes for natural scents that will repel mosquitoes, so you can enjoy the pleasures of summer and its relaxation.
1. Vanilla powder
Mix vanilla powder with baby lotion in a ratio of 1 to 10 and apply it to all exposed parts of your body. You can also dissolve vanilla in water and then wet the exposed areas of your skin and your clothes with the mixture.
2. Essential oils of anise, clove, basil and eucalyptus
Essential oils of anise, clove, basil and eucalyptus can repel mosquitoes if you apply the diluted oils to exposed areas of the skin (5-10 drops per glass of water). You can also soak a cotton ball in the oil and place it on the windowsill.
3. Jasmine
Place fresh sprigs of jasmine in your room. They will repel mosquitoes as easily as tomato leaves. But, be careful, the strong smell of jasmine can interrupt your sleep, so it is better to remove the sprigs from the bedroom at night.
4. Cloves
Put 5 g of cloves in a glass of water and boil them for 15 minutes. Mix 10 drops of this composition with 1 spoon, spend spraying on the exposed areas of your body. Now you can stay outside for at least 2 hours, and mosquitoes will stay away from you.
5. Juniper branches
If you decide to make a fire when you sit outside, throw a juniper branch into it.
6. Pine oil
The smell of pine oil scares away not only mosquitoes, but also eliminates cockroaches.
7. Wheat roots
In ancient times, people used wheat roots to repel mosquitoes and other blood-sucking insects. Put a handful of chopped wheat roots in 0.4 liters of water and let it boil until it turns a light yellow color. Wet your face and hands with this composition and not a single mosquito will come near you.
