Shumaker’s son, Mik, ends cooperation with Ferrari
The son of the legend Mikael Shumaker, Mik, seems to have broken a family tradition. He has chosen to end his collaboration with Ferrari, without yet making his first debut with the Italian team in Formula 1.
The talented German driver, who races for Haas, is under contract with Ferrari. However, the media reports, he will end this cooperation and in 2023 he will be a free driver.
At this time, the future is still in question, with options not lacking for him.
The Scuderia that are looking for a driver for next season are Williams and Alpina. Another option could be AlphaTauri.
Mike Shumaker is close friends with Esteban Oko and this could bring him to Alpine, but the French team has started negotiations to bring back Niko Hulkenberg.
On the other hand, his place at Haas is expected to be taken by Antonio Xiovinaci, who was not part of Formula 1 this season.
